While planning our last leg of travels, we asked the three boys to list their top destinations. Japan and Korea easily topped everyone's list, so we decided to visit Japan and Korea immediately after celebrating Jackson's graduation from Tufts in May.
But, before we go to Asia, a short post on Jackson's college graduation.
I would be remiss as a mother if I did not share that, to no one’s surprise and everyone’s great pride, Jackson graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude in Applied Mathematics and Quantitative Economics. Much more importantly, Jackson built a life rich in companionship and camaraderie, surrounded by fabulous friends with many different fields of interest and life experiences. An example: dozens showed up to support him at his thesis defense (one of his advisors marveled: “Usually no one shows up to these!”).

In a cynical world of which I often despair, Jackson and his friends warm me with hope and admiration. Here's to the next generation, much improved on ours!
Congratulations, Jackson!
